Sarah Waters biography

Sarah Waters was born in in Pembrokeshire, a county in South West Wales. Her father, Ron, was an engineer and her mother, Mary, was a housewife.

  • She has one much older sister, so grew up almost as an only child. Encouraged to be creative by her father, she wrote 'terrible gothic pastiches'1 and built Airfix models of classic planes.
